PicturesQR gives you two main ways to share your event page with guests:
QR codes – perfect for in-person events (weddings, parties, corporate events, etc.).
Event URL (link) – ideal for sharing before or after the event, or when people aren’t all in the same place.
Below is how to access each option and when to use them.
Use QR codes when guests are physically at the venue and you want them to upload on the spot.
Log in to PicturesQR and go to the Events page.
Find your event and tap Get QR Code & Templates.
On this page you’ll see two sections:
A standalone QR code (just the QR code by itself).
Printable QR templates (signs with text like “Share the love” and your QR code).
You can:
Download the standalone QR code to add it to your own designs, slides, or materials.
Download printable signs to print and place around your venue.
Print or display the QR code where guests can see it, for example:
On signs at the entrance, bar, tables, or guestbook area.
On a projector screen or TV slideshow.
On programs, menus, or table cards.
Guests simply:
Open their camera (or QR scanning app).
Point it at the QR code.
Tap the link that appears to open your event page and start uploading.
Use the event URL when guests are not all in the same room or when you want uploads before or after the event.
From the Events page, find your event.
Look for the Event Page URL (e.g., https://share.picturesqr.com/abc123).
Tap to copy it.
You can paste this URL anywhere you normally communicate with guests, such as:
Text message / SMS
WhatsApp / iMessage / Messenger groups
Email invitations or reminders
Event pages (wedding website, Facebook event, etc.)
Obituary or memorial pages, for remembrance events
When guests tap the link, they go straight to your event page and can upload photos or videos.
QR codes are ideal for in-person, day-of sharing, including:
Weddings, receptions, and engagement parties
Birthday parties and showers
Corporate events, conferences, and galas
Any event where guests are already on-site
Why: Guests can scan quickly with their phone camera as they walk by a sign—no typing or searching needed.
The URL is perfect for remote or time-flexible sharing, like:
Collecting uploads after the event
e.g., “If you took pictures at our wedding last weekend, please upload them here.”
Collecting uploads in advance
e.g., asking guests to upload old photos or videos before a slideshow.
Memorials and remembrance events
Friends and family can upload memories even if they can’t attend in person.
Group sharing in general
Family trips, friend groups, school events, sports teams, etc.
Why: Guests can tap the link from anywhere, at any time, and upload on their own schedule.
For most events, using both options works best:
QR codes around the venue so guests can upload during the event.
The event URL sent by text or email so guests can upload before and after.
This gives everyone an easy way to share their photos and videos, no matter where they are or when they’re ready.
